Store Policies

Return Policy:

We understand that there are occasions when a return may be necessary. Please measure & choose wisely when ordering to avoid the extra return charges.

Only new and unused merchandise with original box and packaging may be returned within 14 days of receipt.

All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Shipping Costs are non refundable
; In the event the item was sold with a free shipping special or a shipping discount, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund.

All returns must receive prior authorization. Returns without a Prior Authorization will be subject to a 25% Processing & Restocking fee.

We will provide you with a proper return address upon contacting us. Do not send back to address on label. If you would like to return an item please let us know through our "Contact Us" page.

Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. (C.O.D.'s are not accepted)

Refund will not be issued for return of used merchandise. You will be notified that the item will not be accepted for return or refund, we cannot by any circumstances arrange for return shipment.

Items Which Cannot Be Returned:

Litter products, outdoor pet houses, pet beds, customized pet furniture; including items with chosen color choices and optional add-ons, pet foods, pet toys, catnip, books, DVDs, earrings, pet medicine; clippers, blades, combs, consumer modified, pet damaged products, custom made items, personalized, monogrammed and special order products, any item that is in used condition.

Pet Carriers and cat furniture; once a pet has been placed in or on an item, it is deemed non returnable. This is due to strict US health and safety regulations regarding returns of pet products.

Return Credit:

Refunds, credits or company checks will be issued within 30 days of receipt on product price only, less shipping costs and 15% restocking fee.

Please understand that often refunds will not reflect on your credit card until the next billing cycle – this is normally due to your bank and not something we can control.

Cancellation policy:
  • If your order is canceled before processed; a 5% cancellation fee applies. (orders are processed within 1- 24 hours of order placement).
  • If your order has been processed, built or begun being built, but not shipped at time of cancellation; a 10% cancellation fee applies.
  • Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be canceled; it becomes the customer’s responsibility to follow returns policy.
Signature Required, Undeliverable or Refused Orders:

We do not require signature for deliveries from our warehouse, but for some of our manufacturers warehouses a signature is required, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is always at the discretion of the delivery person.

If a delivery exception occurs, you will be notified by email and you will be given shipping carriers customer service phone number and tracking number to contact the carrier to make arrangements for delivery or pick up.

If your orders refused, not signed for and sent back, or undeliverable to address given at checkout and are sent back to shipping warehouse, your order is subject to refund less 15% restock fee and 2 way shipping costs.

Shipping Damage or Defective Goods:

In rare instance if you received shipping damage or defective goods, contact us within 24 hours, please keep all original parts and shipping box, provide to us your order number and detailed photos of damage or defect, and we will be happy to assist you in sending replacement parts.

Custom Carpet Colors and Texture:

For orders with custom carpet colors. The only way to get 2 or more items in the same carpet and texture is to order them at the same time, carpet mills discontinue colors and styles after each bolt is used, and new carpet is purchased, our manufacturers will not be able to match colors or textures exactly to a previous carpet color purchase or colors and textures represented in stock photos.

Thecatandkittenstore.com and our manufacturers do not guarantee carpet colors or textures will match exactly to what is shown in stock photographs on website.

Exchanges:

Due to the large products we sell, we do not accept exchanges. Only on soft claws nail caps with a reship fee. Please purchase the correct item and follow the return policy above.

Sign up for our friendly newsletter for promotional codes, special sales events, informative news about cats and more, you can opt out at any time, and rest assured your email address is never sold or shared to anyone ever.

eGift Certificates:

eGift certificates are not redeemable for cash and non-transferable. eGift cards and any monetary balances can only be used towards merchandise in the thecatandkittenstore.com product catalog only. If an eGift certificate holder purchase is over value of eGift certificate, the additional balance may be paid for during checkout. eGift certificates hold no expiration date, and can be redeemed anytime.

Promotional Coupon Codes:

Coupon codes are redeemable at time of checkout only; discounts codes cannot be used after order has been processed, certain promotional codes can only be used if you are a registered customer. Promotional codes cannot be combined with items with (2) sale promotions. Certain restrictions apply.
